Masterpieces of French Tapestry: Medieval, Renaissance & Modern
This catalog was produced by The Art Institute of Chicago in conjunction with their exhibition of the same name arranged through the courtesy of the French Government held in 1948. Included in this wonderful pictorial archive are such masterpieces as the Apocalypse tapestries from Angers, the Lady with the Unicorn series, the suite from the Cathedral of Rheims used for the coronation of the French kings and the amazing sequence of the History of Louis XIV woven at the manufactory of Gobelins.
