General Information

The website is designed based on what I would like to see when shopping for books on the internet.  Each book on the site has a picture of the cover and the book information.  However,  by using the "Click here for more information" link, you will be taken to  a page containing a complete description of the book as well as photographs from within the book to help insure that you are purchasing exactly the book that you want. Of course, if you have any questions, please e-mail me and I will do my best to ensure that your questions are answered.

OVERALL SITE

The site has been divided into 12 specific categories to make it easier to find those books of interest for a particular form of needlework or other items of interest. Some of the larger main categories have been further divided to provide more specialized categories and in an effort to keep the pages from getting too large to load quickly.

WHAT'S NEW

The What's New page now has a picture of each book added to the website since the last update so that you can see at a glance which books you would like to further investigate! You can reach the individual pages by clicking on the heading which contains your book of interest.  

WISH LIST/EMAIL REQUEST

Due to the enormous demand for used and out-of-print needlework books, I have, quite by accident, developed a waiting list for several needlework titles. Because of this, I have decided to institute a "Wish List" form on the site for those of you looking for particular titles.  We perform book searches almost every day and often come up with "hard-to-find" titles at reasonable prices! I ask that you supply me with the author, the title, the ISBN# (if known) and the maximum amount you would be willing to pay for the book. Once a book is located that meets your criteria, I will email you the specifics regarding the book at the email address supplied on the form and ask that you reply within 48 hours and let me know if you are still interested in the book. After 48 hours, the book will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. Completing the form does not constitute an offer to purchase the book. If you do not wish to purchase the book upon receipt of the email, please let me know and I will mark it off of my list!

The email request link works a little differently in that it generates an email to me to let me know that you would like to be notified when a particular title is added to the website. The information provided will be used to send a single email when the title is next added to the website. The information is used for no other purpose and is deleted once the email is sent. As opposed to the wish list form, these titles are not reserved. In order to remain on the email request list once an email has been sent, you will need to submit another request or let me know via email if for any reason you did not purchase the title once notified (i.e., title sold before you could purchase it).

MAILING LIST

I do maintain a mailing list for folks who want to receive notification when the site is updated. I use this list only for updates and no other purpose. Emails are generated whenever the website is updated, no more than once per week. If you would like to added to the mailing list, please email me at paige@madsamplarbooks.com and let me know.

In addition, if you are receiving unwanted emails, please email me at paige@madsamplarbooks.com and simply type "REMOVE" and your email address will be removed from the mailing list immediately.
