Hardanger Embroideries: 1st Series from the DMC Library

For their own personal use, the inhabitants of Hardanger, a mountainous region in South West Norway, make openwork embroideries of a particular character, long known as Hardanger embroideries. In compliance with oft-repeated wishes, we publish in this volume reproductions of different objects trimmed with Hardanger embroidery, with all the details and instructions needed to facilitate their execution.
