Hardanger Embroideries: 2nd Series from the DMC Library

In this publication, DMC has brought together as varied a selection as possible of bordering, all-over ground models and separate motifs; many of these are copied from ancient, classic embroideries, while others are entirely new compositions in more modern style. The application of Hardanger embroideries as trimmings to useful and decorative articles having been adequately dealt with in the first series, this work contains chiefly full-size patterns, to which are added two plates containing reproductions of the finished articles thus embroidered, in reduced size.
