Crochet Edgings & More from Turn-of-the-Century Sources edited by Jules & Kaethe Kliot

The latter half of the nineteenth century reflected great achievements in lace making, with the true hand made laces of bobbin lace and needle lace giving way to the much easier-to-execute techniques of crochet and tape lace. The work of this book is taken from several manuals of crochet designs from the early years and should serve as a valuable resource for the crocheter as well as the historian and collector. The designs come from the following publications: The Dorothy Bradford Series 12 on Crochet Edgings with Insertions to Match, 1913; Crocheted Edgings and Insertions with Instructions  Book 1 by Agusta Pfeuffer, c. 1910; Crocheted Edgings and Insertions with Instructions Book 2 by Agusta Pfeuffer, c. 1910; Crocheted Edgings and Insertions with Complete Instructions Book 2 by Adeline Cordet, 1915; Anne Orr's Crochet Book of Edgings, Insertions, Corners and Medallions, 1917; T.B.C. Designs for Crocheting Edges, Yokes, Instructions, Medallions Book 8630, 1915; Crochet and Tatting Craft Book 1 by Anna Valerie, 1910; and The Self-Instructor in Silk Knitting, Crocheting & Embroidery, 1891.
