Book Conditions
The following descriptions are the general guidelines that I follow when grading the books for sale on the website:
New
Like New: These books/dust jackets are in excellent condition except for minor flaws. These flaws may include very light cover and/or edge wear, but no markings.
Very Good: These books/dust jackets show some signs of wear. The following conditions may be present and should be noted:
Previous owner's name with location (cover, inside cover, ffep (front free endpaper), title page, etc.)
Any markings to the book with location (including signatures and/or inscriptions)
Bumped spine or corners
Price clipped dust jacket
Remainder marks
Sticker damage
Good: These books/dust jackets are in average used condition, but are completely intact. The following conditions may be present and should be noted:
All of the above conditions plus:
Ex-library markings
Chipped and/or torn dust jacket
Fair: These books/dust jackets are complete, but more worn than average. Any of the above defects should be noted.
Poor: These books/dust jackets are complete, but may be soiled, scuffed, stained, spotted or have loose joints, hinges or pages. All defects should be noted.
Please note: I very rarely offer ex-library materials on the website. Exceptions are allowed, however, when the book is considered hard-to-find and very desirable in terms of information. Ex-library materials are never given a designation better than good and are always clearly marked as ex-library.
