This slipcased set contains a complete manual, with step-by-step instructions for recreating 176 Early American designs in embroidery, crewel work, cross-stitch, needlepoint, patchwork, applique, quilting, hooking, knitting, crochet, weaving and candlewicking; plus a special section on rugmaking. The 51 pattern sheets are complete and unused. In addition, the designs are cross-referenced with the Woman's Day Book of American Needlework by Rose Wilder Lane (the companion volume to this work) which contains full-color photographs of the Early American designs.
