This design supplies the stitcher with the necessary tools to design their own project! The design incorporates 158 different stitches and is designed for three levels of difficulty. Beginners may use the design as charted using the recommended color palette of Caron Watercolours. Intermediate stitchers are given the option to pick one of the provided design templates and apply their own creative choice of threads and stitches. Advanced stitchers can create freely selecting threads (or using their stash!) and working the stitch diagrams in their own original design. Sheets of small shapes are included that may be cut apart and manipulated into a design of your choice. Suggestions are given for stitching on 18 count mono canvas or 24 Congress cloth.

Fascination began with an idea to create 100 unique stitches of 12 x 12 each with their own stitch guide in the book. Once these 100 stitches were in place, the design was flipped, rotated and mirrored resulting in three different options of the 400 blocks of Fascination. The two additional resulting designs are shown here. This is a very challenging piece for the advanced stitcher.
